Learn how to schedule and automate your iOS 15 Focus modes to control them automatically.
Recently, iOS 15 is officially available for iPhone users with stunning new features such as Focus Mode. Basically, it’s an updated version or feature of Do Not Disturb.
With Focus, you can set up or schedule the activity that you’re doing such as working, sleeping, reading, driving, and more. In short, this mode allows you to filter or block the notifications or calls based on specific times or locations.
In this article, you’ll get the step-by-step instructions
to schedule and automate iOS 15 Focus modes to make them switch on and off
automatically.
Steps to Schedule and Automate Focus Modes in iOS 15
Here’s the step-by-step process to automate or schedule your iOS Focus modes.
Step 1: Open your iOS device Settings.
Step 2: Click on Focus
options for more focus mode settings.
Step 3: Now you’ll get the list of focus
modes such as Driving, Fitness, Sleep, Personal, and Work.
Step 4: Choose one of them that you want
to schedule or automate.
Step 5: Once you choose and tap on Focus
modes that you’d like to automate then click on Add Schedule or Automation option at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: Automate or schedule your selected focus mode based on Time, Location, and App.
Time: When you select a specific focus mode that you’d like to automate or schedule then you’ve three more options, so Time is one of them. You’ll be able to use it for a particular time period. You need to add time From and time To.
Location: When you enable your Focus mode for your work location, then the Focus mode will automatically switch when you are in your workplace. But it depends on how you put or insert your work address when you schedule it.
App: Using this feature in Focus mode, you can only focus on a particular app when you can open or launch it on your device. It blocks other apps' notifications until you don’t switch off this particular app.
Step 7: If you’ll select Time then
enable Schedule and set the time.
Click on the Done button at the top right corner of the screen to apply your changes.
Final Words
The Focus mode automatically filters or blocks your notifications, calls, and even messages for a specific time period that you set on Focus modes. There are different Focus modes available in iOS 15. This feature allows you to create, schedule, and automate different Focus modes.
