However, you will be able to select the three options from appearance settings. The three options are 

  • Device Default
  • Dark Theme
  • Light Theme

Step 1: Open the Chrome browser on your desktop PC and type Google.com on the search box. 

Step 2: In the Google Search homepage, tap the Settings option at the bottom right-side corner of your window.

Step 3: On the drop-down menu, tap on Dark theme to enable. In case this option is not available in the drop-down menu then go to Search settings.

Step 4: Tap on Appearance at the left-side panel of search settings.

Step 5: Then, you’ll get three options in appearance – Device default, Dark, and Light theme. Select Dark Theme to enable the dark mode in your desktop web.

Step 6: Tap on the Save button and then click Ok.
