However, when we attend group meetings many members speak at one time that disturbs each other. But using this feature, you can inform the host first and then turn on your mike to speak.

How to Raise Hand in Google Meet for Android and iPhone

Remember that if you use the old version of Google meets, this option does not appear on your mobile. So update Google meet first if you don’t update it earlier, then you can get this option when you start or join the meetings. (Currently, the Raise hand feature is only available in specific editions.)

To raise your hand in Google meet in Android and iPhone follow the below steps:

Step 1: Start or Join meeting

Step 2: At the bottom of the screen interface, navigate the Raise Hand button.

Step 3: Press the Hand icon to raise your hand.

Now this hand icon will turn highlight at the panel and your meeting moderators will obtain a hand raised notification. You can lower your raise hand by tapping the Raise Hand icon at the bottom of your mobile screen.

 

How to Raise Hand in Google Meet for Laptop and Desktop

To raise your hand in Laptops and desktops, follow below steps.

Step 1: Open Gmail Web, start or join a meeting.

Step 2: When you join the meeting, then at the bottom of the window panel you get the Raise Hand button. Tap on this button to raise your hand.

Once you raise your hand, it will send the notification to the others. You can see the raised hand icon in front of your name in people's when you enable it. Also if you want to get down your hand, then again click on the Raise Hand button.


Raise Your Hand Virtually During Meetings or Online Classes

Google offers a very convenient feature in Google Meet which is used to raise your hand during meetings or education sectors (online class) to inform others that you want to speak something. 

But unfortunately, this feature is only available in a specific workspace edition. To use this feature in your app or web, you need to upgrade your Google meet first. However, you can use this feature in iOS, Android, and also Windows operating systems.
